Large Item Drop-Off is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to Noon at the Town Hall Annex parking lot on the following dates in 2024:

$21.00 - Mattresses, Box Springs (Example: 1 King Mattress and 2 Twin Box Springs =$63.00)
$10.00 - Computer Hard Drives, Computer Monitors, Televisions (All Sizes), Tractor Tires (On Rim +$2.00)
$5.00 - Copiers, Dishwashers, Dryers, Fax Machines, Furnaces, Microwaves, Ovens, Printers, Radios, Stereos, Stoves, Truck Tires (On Rim +$2.00), Washers, Water Heaters, Water Softeners.
$3.00 - CD Players, Keyboards, Phonographs, Small Electronics, Small Stereos, Small Radios, Car Tires (On Rim +$2.00)
No Charge - Bikes, Building Materials (Small Amount), Car Batteries, Furnaces, Garbage Cans (Metal OR Plastic), Grills, Lawn & House Furniture, Lawn Mowers, Carpeting (1-2 Rolls), Snow Blowers
Unacceptable Items The following items will NOT be accepted on Large Item Drop-Off Day
Animal Waste, Cardboard, Carpeting (3+ Rolls), Construction or Demolition Materials over 20lbs combined (includes Bricks, Concrete, Doors, Fence Material, Lumber, Sheetrock, Shingles, Windows), Explosives, Fuel Tanks, Gas, Light Bulbs, Light Fixtures, Medications, Normal Household Garbage, Paint, Propane, Regulated Hazardous Waste, Used Oil (Cars/Trucks).
*Unlawful Dumping Citations will be issued to non-compliant persons. Please make arrangements through a private refuse hauler or contact La Crosse County Solid Waste, 608-785-9572 to get your large items taken care of if they are not acceptable on Drop-Off Day.
*Each household may go through once per Large Item Drop Off Date.
*Large Item Drop Off Day is meant for items too large to fit into your regular weekly garbage pickup. Regular house garbage or recycling in any quantity will not be accepted. Please make arrangements through a private refuse hauler or contact Hilltopper Refuse & Recycling at 608-783-6727 to get your additional household garbage and recycling taken care of.
