DOG & CAT LICENSES
Proof of rabies vaccination is required for both dogs and cats.
Dog license renewals are due by April 1st each year. After April 1st dogs must be renewed in the County Clerk's office and will incur a late fee.
TOS dog license fee for 2019 is $24. If the dog is spayed or neutered, the fee is reduced to $13. Proof of spaying or neutering is required.If your puppy was born after February 1st, 2019, the cost is $12. If the puppy has been spayed or neutered the cost is $6.50.
There is town limit of 2 dogs per household, unless a special exception permit to have 3 dogs has been approved by the Town Board. Applications to keep a 3rd dog have a $5 processing fee and must be approved at a town board meeting, prior to January 1st of the current year.
If you licensed a dog in 2019 with TOS, you can send your 2020 dog renewal information via mail after December 15th, 2019. (See Forms)
Cat license renewals are also due by April 1st each year. After that date, citations may be issued. TOS cat license fee is $5.
Each year in December we will have the dog and cat tags available at the front desk.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINDING TAX BILLS ON COUNTY WEB SITE
Go to the La Crosse County web site and make it one of your favorites:
On the Home Page locate "Land Records Information". Click on it.
On the next page click on "Parcel Search" located right under the blue bridge.
Put in the parcel number, OR address information OR owner information and click on "Perform Search".
The name and address will appear in blue. Double click on it.
The property information will come up. To look at taxes only, locate "Taxes" on the right hand side of the page and click on it. The taxes for the current year will come up. If you wish to print taxes only, click on file in the upper left hand corner and then click on print. If you click on the print icon on the page, you will print off all of the parcel information also. Note that there is a small window where you can change the year and look at and print off back years' taxes.
