Assessment Roll Process:
The Assessment Roll will be available April 22nd at 11:00am for viewing at the Town Hall. It is helpful to bring in the tax parcel number (starts with 11-xxxx-xx) that you want to view as the roll is by tax parcel or by last name. It is not listed by address.
Open Book will be held on Tues. 4/30/19 from 3-5pm, at the Shelby Town Hall, at 2800 Ward Ave. This meeting allows you to talk directly to the assessor if you have not already done so by phone. TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY to talk with the Assessor if you have questions about your assessment. You can call them also contact the assessor by phone.
**Call Associated Appraisal at (920) 749-1995 (not the Town) to schedule your appointment to speak with the assessor at open book if you have questions about your assessment.
Board of Review will be held May 21st from 4-6pm. An appointment is scheduled if you cannot agree with the previous contact you made with the Assessor at Open Book. You can schedule your appointment for Board of Review with the Town Clerk. You will need to submit an Objection Form and make an appointment if you wish to attend Board of Review.
NOTE: The assessment role is final after Board of Review, not when you receive your tax bill. Plan to attend Open Book if you are concerned about your assessment values.
Associated Appraisal Assessors can be easily identified. They travel in RED trucks with their company logo on the door. They will have uniform shirts and credentials that identify them as Associated employees. You are encouraged to ask to see their credentials when they show up at your door.
