DOG & CAT LICENSES
Dog license renewals are due by January 1st each year. After April 1st each year, a penalty will be applied by La Crosse County. Late dogs must be renewed in the County Clerk's office. Remaining dogs outstanding need to be processed by the County and a $25 late fee will be applied by them per dog.

There is a limit of 2 dogs per household unless a special exception permit to have 3 dogs has been approved by the Town Board. Applications to keep a 3rd dog have a $5 processing fee and must be approved at a town board meeting.
Cat license renewals are also due by April 1 each year. After that date, citations may be issued.
Cat license fee is $5.
Proof of rabies vaccination is required for both dogs and cats. Proof of spaying or neutering is required to get the reduced fee for dogs.
